Product Launch Websites for Startups (2026)
Product launch websites are the places that will take a new product and give it a public URL. Some of them rank you for a day or a week. Some keep a catalog page. Some are a thread that only works if the writing works. The submit buttons look alike. The thing you still have in a month does not.

Three kinds of site, one search phrase
A board has a clock and a rank. Product Hunt is a Pacific morning. Nukkadly, ScrollLaunch, and Peerlist run a Monday to Sunday week. You can send someone to a live list and they can see who is ahead.
A catalog has a page and an editor or a queue. BetterLaunch, Uneed, and BetaList are catalogs. The homepage may not have a race at all. The value is a URL that can still be the thing Google shows next year.
A community has a feed. Indie Hackers and Show HN do not owe you a product page. You get a post, and the post dies down. AlternativeTo is a fourth shape: people who already typed a competitor's name. It is a launch website only in the sense that you can add your product there. Nobody is waiting on your Monday.
What to check before you submit
Look at the clock first. If you need a public rank this week, a free Uneed line that can sit for months, or a BetterLaunch Monday that is at least 30 days out, will not give you one. If you ship on a Wednesday and your buyers are not on Pacific time, a 24-hour hunt is a worse fit than a week.
Then ask what the money buys. Rank, a homepage pin, a faster review, and a dofollow link are different purchases. On Nukkadly the $39 Launch Pass is review speed and a dofollow link. ScrollLaunch sells feed priority and an always-dofollow page. BetterLaunch sells a pin. BetaList charges to be considered and refunds a no. None of those sentences mean the same thing, even when the pricing page uses the word launch for all of them.
Then ask what the URL is in a month, and what the free link is. A Show HN thread does not become a product page. Nukkadly keeps the listing in Browse. Badge-for-dofollow, which ScrollLaunch and the BetterLaunch free plan both use, means the link type depends on a badge staying on your site. A free nofollow link with no badge, which is Nukkadly's free plan, is a different contract.
Nine product launch websites, and what each one actually is
Nukkadly
I run Nukkadly, so this is the board I can describe from the inside. You submit for free. A person checks that it is a real product before anyone else can see the page. After approval you join that Monday to Sunday UTC week, and only that week. Rank 1 when Sunday closes is Product of the Week.
Votes from accounts younger than 7 days count at a quarter weight. Comments are tagged useful, confusing, pricing, or missing. After Sunday the same page stays in Browse. Launch Pass is $39 once. It speeds review and turns the outbound link dofollow. It does not buy rank, and there is no Featured pin. The free link is nofollow, and you do not have to host a badge to keep that link type. We do not sell a package that submits you to a hundred other directories.
ScrollLaunch
ScrollLaunch is the other weekly upvote board in this set. Rank is upvotes, with engagement as a tiebreaker. Every live product gets a page built to stay in search. Free weeks only take 20 unpaid listings. Miss the cap and you pick another week or you pay.
The free dofollow link lasts only while their badge stays on your site. They re-check weekly. Premium is $19 if you want that link to stay dofollow without the badge, plus feed priority. Premium+ is $39 and adds an AI post on their blog. They also keep a directory archive and will submit you to it for a fee. You can use the week and skip that second product.
Peerlist Launchpad
Peerlist started as a profile network. Launchpad is the weekly board on top. You need a verified profile before you can launch. The window opens Monday 00:00 UTC. Monday and Tuesday show projects in random order, so a late submit still gets a look.
Rank uses upvotes, comments, views, and visits, with extra weight from verified accounts. Top 3 get a badge and the newsletter. Only the top 5 get a backlink. After that the project sits on your Peerlist profile. Send someone there if they already care about your work history. It is a weaker standalone directory than a site that only lists products.
BetterLaunch
BetterLaunch behaves like an editorial SaaS directory. There is no daily leaderboard. A human reviews the submission, and the product page is meant to stay up. Free launches go live on a Monday at least 30 days out. That wait is the part the homepage does not shout.
The free outbound link is nofollow unless you add their badge and your domain meets the DR they ask for, or you win the week. Starter is $24 to pin the homepage for seven days with a dofollow link. Growth is $49 for 30 days pinned. They also sell submitting you to a long list of other directories. That is an SEO service sitting next to the listing.
Uneed
Uneed is a daily catalog of tools. Submitting does not book your day. You pick a launch method in the dashboard. The free line is about 30 launches a day, and the wait can be months. The page goes live at 12:00 AM PST on the date they assign.
A free launch needs 10 upvotes that day to keep a dofollow link. Miss it and you go back in line, nofollow. Fast-track is $14.99 for a slot in about two weeks. Skip the Waiting Line is $29.99 and you pick the date. Paid launches stay published with a dofollow link. Treat it as a catalog URL you might still be on next year, not as a room that talks to you all week.
BetaList
BetaList is for people who try startups before they are finished. They want a technology product on its own domain. They reject vercel.app-style hosts and app-store-only links. You can be featured twice, once while you are collecting emails and once when you launch, with weeks in between.
Every submission is paid now. They refund you if they decline. Featured Visit Site links are dofollow. Money buys a faster look and, on some plans, the newsletter. It does not buy a guaranteed yes. There is no vote day. You wait on an editor.
Indie Hackers
Indie Hackers is a community of people who ship products. You can attach a product for free and post milestones into the feed. The directory slot itself is quiet. Almost nobody browses it the way they browse a launch homepage.
Traffic shows up when a post lands on the front page, so the writing matters more than the form. The room is other makers. That is useful when other makers are your buyers. There is no launch-day clock. You can come back next month with another update and still belong there.
Show HN
Show HN is a thread on Hacker News, not a directory. The title has to start with Show HN. The rules want something people can run or hold. A waitlist, a newsletter, or a landing page with nothing to try is the wrong format. Stay in the comments. Do not ask friends to upvote. Launch HN is for YC companies, which people mix up.
Most posts go nowhere. Ranking decays with age, so the first hour decides more than the rest of the day. When a thread lands, the questions are sharper than a hunter board. The archive is an old thread. There is no product page for someone to find later.
AlternativeTo
AlternativeTo is not a launch. People arrive because they already want to leave a tool and they searched that tool plus alternative. You suggest an application, add platforms and tags, and wait for review. An app with no alternatives barely shows up, so the work is naming the products someone would leave.
The outbound site link is usually nofollow. You are there for search traffic, not link equity. Directories, thin AI wrappers, and pages that are not in English get declined a lot. There is no launch day to staff. The page either compounds or it does not.
How I would pick one this week
I would not paste one blurb into ten forms and call it a launch. I would pick one board whose page still exists in a month, write somewhere people actually reply, and add AlternativeTo later if I can name the tool I replace.
Nukkadly if the week should be public, rank should stay off the price list, and the listing should remain in Browse without a badge deal. ScrollLaunch if I want the other weekly vote and I will either keep their badge or pay $19. BetterLaunch if I want an editor and I can wait about a month, or I will pay $24 to $49 to pin. Uneed if I want a catalog URL and I will wait in line or pay for a date. BetaList if I still need early-adopter signups more than a vote. Indie Hackers for a build log. Show HN only when someone can use the product in the thread with no waitlist.
The longer list
The nine above are the ones I would explain to a founder without reading from a spreadsheet. Plenty of other forms call themselves launch sites. This site keeps a longer directory of boards, catalogs, communities, and the install pages where a tool actually has to live, such as a package registry or an extension store. Prices, review rules, and link attributes change. Read the current page on their site before you pay or block a date.
Common questions
What is a product launch website?
A site that accepts a new product and gives it a public page, a rank, or a thread. Weekly boards, catalogs, and communities all show up for this search. They do not leave you with the same URL afterward.
Which product launch websites are free?
Nukkadly, ScrollLaunch, Peerlist, Indie Hackers, and Show HN take a free submission. Uneed has a free queue that can take months. BetterLaunch has a free Monday about 30 days out. BetaList charges for every submission and refunds a decline. Free often still means a nofollow link, a badge, or a cap on how many unpaid listings the week will hold.
Do product launch websites give a dofollow backlink?
Sometimes, and often not on the free plan. Nukkadly's free link is nofollow. Launch Pass is $39 once for dofollow, and it does not change rank. ScrollLaunch's free dofollow depends on their badge. BetterLaunch's free link starts nofollow. Uneed's free dofollow needs 10 upvotes that day. AlternativeTo is usually nofollow.
Is Nukkadly a product launch website?
Yes. It is a Monday to Sunday UTC board. You list for free after a person reviews the product. The page stays in Browse when the week ends. Rank comes from votes and feedback. Money does not buy position.
If you want to list
Keep going with Product Hunt Alternatives That Last (2026) or New Product Listing Sites: BetterLaunch, Uneed. The long list is the directory of product launch websites. Read how Nukkadly works and submit when you have a real product to show.
