New product listing sites
For a long time the launch calendar was simple. You picked a Tuesday, you begged for votes, and you hoped the homepage still cared by lunch. Then a pile of smaller sites showed up selling the leftover. A page that still exists next month, and a weekly slot instead of a 24-hour scramble. BetterLaunch and ScrollLaunch are the names people ask me about. Nukkadly is in that wave too. They are not the same product, even when the homepages use the same words.

What actually changed
You used to do Product Hunt on a Tuesday and hope. Show HN if someone could actually try the thing. That was the calendar. Everything else was a form you forgot about.
The new listing sites showed up to sell what that day left behind. A URL that still exists. A week or an editor instead of a 24-hour scramble. Optional dofollow, often with a badge or a pin attached. BetterLaunch and ScrollLaunch talk about Domain Rating a lot, which is a tell. If you only want a backlink, say that out loud before you pick a board. You will save a week of pretending you needed a community.
A listing site versus a backlink mill
A listing site has a board or a directory a stranger would open without being asked. You can send a customer there to pick a tool. A mill has a form, a promised DR number, and a spreadsheet of other forms. You would not send a customer there. You would send a crawler.
The questions that cut through the homepages are boring on purpose. Can a visitor browse a live week or a category without an account? Can money buy rank or a pin, or only review speed and the link type? Is dofollow free, paid, or tied to a badge on your homepage? Do they also sell submitting you to a hundred other directories? That last one is a separate product. It can sit next to a real board. It can also be the whole business wearing a launch costume.
The sites people mean when they say new listing sites
Nukkadly
Nukkadly is a public week and then a directory. You submit for free. A person reviews it. After approval you compete Monday to Sunday UTC. Rank is never for sale. Launch Pass is $39 for faster review and a dofollow link. There is no Featured pin, and the free listing does not ask you to host a badge to keep the link type.
I built it because I wanted the vote to last longer than a day and I did not want rank on the price list. New accounts vote at a quarter weight for a week. Comments are tagged so makers get something usable. After Sunday the same page stays in Browse. We do not sell a package that submits you to a hundred other directories. If you want that, other sites will sell it to you.
BetterLaunch
BetterLaunch talks like a launch platform and behaves like an editorial SaaS directory. They say there is no daily rank race, which is true. A human reviews the submission. The product page is meant to stay up for good. Free launches go out on a Monday at least 30 days from when you submit. That delay is the part founders skip when they read the homepage.
The free outbound link is nofollow unless you add their badge, your domain hits the Ahrefs DR they want, or you win the week. Starter is $24 for seven days pinned on the homepage and a dofollow link. Growth is $49 for 30 days pinned. Next to that they sell done-for-you submissions to a pile of other directories. That is an SEO service. It can be useful. It is not a room of people trying your product.
ScrollLaunch
ScrollLaunch is a weekly upvote board with a product URL that is built to rank. Rank is upvotes, with engagement as a tiebreaker. Free weeks cap at 20 unpaid listings. When a week fills, you pick another week or you upgrade. The listing is permanent even on the free plan, which is more honest than catalogs that yank you for missing a vote target.
The free dofollow link lasts only while their badge stays on your site. They re-check weekly. Homepage ads and newsletter shoutouts on a free listing pause if the badge is gone. Premium is $19 for always-dofollow, a verified badge, and feed priority. Premium+ is $39 and writes an AI article onto their blog. They also publish a DR-ranked directory archive and will submit you to it. Kalash Vasaniya runs the whole thing solo. You can feel that. The site is very sure that Domain Rating is the point.
Peerlist Launchpad
Peerlist is older as a professional network than as a launch site. Launchpad is a Monday week on top of verified builder profiles. You cannot launch until the profile is verified. The first two days show projects in random order, which is a kinder start than a board that freezes in hour one.
Rank mixes upvotes, comments, views, and visits. Only the top five of the week get a backlink. Top 3 get a badge and the newsletter. After that the project lives on your Peerlist page. That is a listing, but it is a listing inside a people network. Send someone there if they already care about your work history. Do not expect a stranger hunting for SaaS to browse it like a directory.
Uneed
Uneed is a daily tool catalog, and the most common mistake is thinking the submit button is the launch date. It is not. You pick a method in the dashboard. The free queue is capped and can sit months out. The page goes live at 12:00 AM PST on the assigned day.
Ten upvotes that day keep a dofollow link on the free plan. Miss it and the listing can fall back into the queue, nofollow. Paid Fast-track and Skip the Waiting Line skip that rule and stay published. I would use Uneed when I wanted a catalog URL I might still be on next year, not when I wanted a week of conversation.
BetterLaunch or ScrollLaunch
Pick BetterLaunch if you want an editor to write you into a SaaS directory and you can wait a month for a free Monday, or you will pay $24 to $49 to pin the homepage. There is no vote race. The free link starts nofollow. That is the deal.
Pick ScrollLaunch if you want a weekly upvote board and an indexable product URL. Free weeks only take 20 unpaid listings. Keep their badge if you want the free dofollow. Pay $19 if you do not want that leash. The site will also try to sell you directory submissions. You can ignore that and still use the week.
Pick Nukkadly if the vote week should be public, rank should stay off the price list, and the listing should remain in Browse without a badge deal. Launch Pass is the dofollow upgrade. It does not move the board. I know that sounds like a pitch. It is also the reason the site exists.
What I would do with a week
I would not spray ten directories on a Monday morning and call it a launch. I would pick one board that still has a public page in a month, post a real writeup somewhere people talk, and add AlternativeTo later if I can name a tool I replace. The new listing sites are useful when you treat them as listings. They get weird when you treat DR as the product.
Common questions
Is BetterLaunch a Product Hunt alternative?
It is an editorial listing with Monday launches, not a 24-hour hunter board. Free slots are about 30 days out. Paid Starter and Growth pin the homepage and make the backlink dofollow.
Is ScrollLaunch a Product Hunt alternative?
Yes, as a weekly leaderboard with a lasting product page. Free dofollow depends on keeping their badge. Premium is always dofollow. Free weeks cap at 20 listings.
Which new listing site does not sell rank?
Nukkadly does not sell board position. BetterLaunch sells homepage pins. ScrollLaunch sells feed priority and always-dofollow product pages. Peerlist gives backlinks only to the top 5.
If you want to list
Keep going with Product Hunt alternatives. Or read how Nukkadly works and submit when you have a real product to show.
